Maintenance Engineer(Mechanical)

Purpose: -

• Preventive Maintenance:-

  Developing and executing preventative maintenance schedules for various equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, and other plant machinery.

• Troubleshooting and Repair:-

  Diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and replacing parts as needed.

• Equipment Reliability:-

  Analysing data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.

• Safety Compliance:-

  Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, and mitigating potential hazards.

• Documentation:-

  Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any repairs or replacements made.

• Collaboration:-

  Working closely with production, engineering, and other teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations.

• Inventory Management:-

  Managing spare parts and materials to minimize downtime during maintenance and repairs.

Secondary Responsibilities: -

1. Safety & Compliance:-

• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and participate in HAZOP and root cause analyses.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.

2. Continuous Improvement:- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement permanent solutions. Drive reliability engineering and maintenance best practices (TPM, 5S, Lean Maintenance).Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support plant performance improvements.

1. Documentation & Reporting:-

   Maintain maintenance logs, equipment history records, and reports for audits.

   Prepare and present regular maintenance performance reports to plant leadership.

   Ensure timely updates of SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance checklists.

2. Training & Skill Development:-

   Identify skill gaps within the maintenance team and arrange for technical training.

   Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

3. Inventory & Asset Tracking:- Coordinate

   with the stores team to maintain optimum spare parts inventory. Tag, track, and audit critical assets for lifecycle management.

Educational Qualifications: -

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within chemical, petrochemical, or process industries. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment will be added advantage.

Age Group: -

• Between 24-28 yrs.
