Position Name Maintenance Engineer- Mechanical Reporting toManager Maintenance. LocationAmbernath Plant. Purpose: - Responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment within the plant. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, as well as implementing safety protocols and maintaining documentation. The role also involves collaborating with other departments, managing maintenance schedules, and potentially supervising junior staff. Primary Responsibilities: - Preventive Maintenance:- Developing and executing preventative maintenance schedules for various equipment, including pumps, heat exchangers, and other plant machinery. Troubleshooting and Repair:- Diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and replacing parts as needed. Equipment Reliability:- Analysing data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance. Safety Compliance:- Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations, and mitigating potential hazards. Documentation:- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any repairs or replacements made. Collaboration:- Working closely with production, engineering, and other teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations. Inventory Management:- Managing spare parts and materials to minimize downtime during maintenance and repairs. Ensure timely updates of SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance checklists. Training & Skill Development:- Identify skill gaps within the maintenance team and arrange for technical training. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Inventory & Asset Tracking:- Coordinate with the stores team to maintain optimum spare parts inventory. Tag, track, and audit critical assets for lifecycle management. Educational Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical or related discipline. Experience: - 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within chemical, petrochemical, or process industries. Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment will be added advantage.
