The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that machinery, equipment, and building systems operate efficiently and reliably. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing faults, implementing improvements, and supporting production operations to minimize downtime and ensure safety and compliance with standards.
Plan, schedule, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic faults and implement timely repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and optimize equipment performance.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery or systems.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with suppliers or contractors when needed.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
Provide technical support and training to operators and junior maintenance staff.
