Mainframe Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) Tech, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative software products for Ford Motor Company, Dealers, and Customers while embracing Agile Programming principles. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining Mainframe COBOL & JCL for support and project requirements - Implementing z/OS connect, SFTP, SOAP and REST APIs for system to system communication - Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and business support items promptly - Performing application support tasks such as systems support, security/audit reviews, and maintenance - Collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders in a global environment - Unit and integration testing to ensure software quality - Assisting and troubleshooting the current Mainframe environment, including weekend and off-hour support coverage Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent - 8+ years experience in mainframe development with COBOL (IMS), JCL, CA7, DB2, SQL, Teradata - Experience in Big Q and using source code management tools like Endevor and GitHub - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage changing priorities and work independently - Familiarity with Agile Tools like Jira, CA Agile Central (Rally) Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) is committed to providing an exceptional service experience to its customers worldwide.
