What you will do:

Customize, compile, and package product source code (Assembler, JCL, PL/I, C, and C++) as per project requirements.
Perform application installation and deployment across Mainframe environment (with support from vendor teams for OS & DB setup).Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable mainframe code. Troubleshoot build, deployment, and integration issues across application and middleware layers. Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and integration tasks using Shell scripting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Linux, DB, Product Development, Testing) to ensure successful environment readiness. Provide client-facing updates, technical expertise, and leadership for integration projects. Collaborate with team members, contribute to meetings, and troubleshoot issues across multiple environments and operating platforms. Apply in-depth knowledge of PL/I programming to debug complex issues, optimize performance, and implement best practices for robust and maintainable code Implement and manage database schemas that support business processes.

The skills you bring:

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with mainframe technologies including z/OS, CA7, DB2, IMS, and VSAM
Proficiency in JCL, Assembler, C, PL/I, C++. Hands-on experience with system-level debugging (IPCS, Abend-AID, dumps). Experience with both external and embedded databases. Knowledge of telecom OSS/BSS systems is highly desirable. Ability to troubleshoot cross-layer issues (OS, DB, Application, Middleware).
