Job Description

As a DB2 Systems Programmer, your primary responsibility will be to install, upgrade, and administer Mainframe DB2 and DB2 related software. You will play a key role in assisting with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades. Collaboration is essential as you will regularly attend meetings, interact with management, team members, and clients to ensure continuous improvement of services. Additionally, you will be part of an On-Call rotation schedule. To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in installation, maintenance, and problem diagnosis within the DB2 system programming area. Experience in mainframe DB2 migrations and upgrades will be crucial. Proficiency in DB2 system programming, particularly in DB2 Recovery scenarios, is required. Familiarity with SMPE and knowledge of RSU maintenance apply procedures are important skills. Additionally, expertise in JCL, ISPF, and other DB2 related products is necessary. You will be responsible for performance monitoring and troubleshooting DB2 issues effectively. Strong communication skills are essential, both verbally and in written English, to ensure clear and concise interactions with team members, management, and clients.,
