Job Description

Skill:

As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will lead end to end modernization of legacy workloads, spanning analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation, while using GenAI tools to accelerate delivery

Key Responsibilities

Legacy Development & Analysis: Maintain and refactor COBOL/JCL components; optimize DB2/IDMS/VSAM data structures; script utilities with Easytrieve/REXX; manage OPC scheduling
Modernization Delivery: Execute migrations to AWS, Oracle DB, Informatica; define ETL mappings and data transformation solutions; perform UT/SIT/RT and production implementation with post support
GenAI Enabled Productivity: Apply GHCP extensions, Amazon Q Transform, IBM watsonx, Swimm, Windsurf/Gemini to speed code understanding, test case generation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Agile Ways of Working: Drive Scrum ceremonies; manage change??requests; track work in Jira/Confluence/Kanban; partner with stakeholders for estimation and backlog grooming

Must Have Skills

COBOL, JCL, DB2, IDMS, VSAM, Easytrieve, REXX; batch/online processing expertise
Hands on modernization to AWS/Oracle/Informatica
Proficiency in ETL mapping/design and data transformation.
Agile/Scrum mastery (PSM I); strong problem??solving and multitasking.
