Job Description - Magento Front End Developer Position Summary: As an Magento Frontend Developer, you will develop and customize themes in Magento 1 & Magneo 2 Enterprise/Community platform. You will work with a dedicated business, offshore development team and follow a Scrum process to integrate themes in e-commerce websites for various other brands owned by the company. Project Description: As a Member of the eCommerce development team you ll work on our global web platform built on Magento 1 & Magento 2 Enterprise/Community. This platform is the home for multiple websites for our global businesses including both informational and eCommerce solutions. You ll strive to continuously improve the platform and achieve our goals of a best-in-class web platform that: Meets the needs of multiple business with different go-to-market strategies Gives the business teams control over their sites without IT intervention Supports global businesses with multi-language support Promotes sharing of content between businesses You ll help to create new site Themes/ Modules to improve the user experience while also taking ownership for the technical quality of each customization delivered. Responsibilities Work with fellow eCommerce Developers to create and enhance existing websites using Magento enterprise/Community platform Follow Scrum process and participate in all Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, retrospectives, planning, etc) Work closely with the Product Owner and fellow team members to discuss the requirements, come up with the solution and implement. Should propose the best practices, necessary tools, technology, etc. Test websites Should be flexible enough to learn new technologies and implement them as required . Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of experience of developing Themes, PSD to HTML Conversion 8+ years of experience developing themes using Magento 1 & Magento 2 Enterprise/Community BE/MCA/B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Computer Science or related field Knowledge of using PSD, Magento 1 & Magento 2 Enterprise/Community platform and PHP Outstanding CSS / HTML / Javascript / Jquery/Knockout/ Angular JS and other new JS frameworks. Experience with Magento 2 Module Development, Magento 2 Theme Integration, Customization, Extension Development and other open source projects. Ability to contribute independently Experience with other MVC platforms (beside Magento 1 & Magento 2), such as Shopify, Wordpress,Joomla, Drupal etc will be an added advantage. Desired Skills Knowledge of PSD, Less/Gulp and CSS Knowledge of Knockout, Angular, JQuery Knowledge of Git, Jira, AWS etc. Personal Skills and Qualities: Self-motivated with strong team spirit Strong work ethic Ability to work independently as well as ability to work within a team Excellent multi-tasking skills Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical staff.
