Machinist

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, repair, and maintain production machinery such as mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, motors, and pumps.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and attend breakdowns to reduce machine downtime.
• Fabricate, modify, and assemble mechanical parts using lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, and welding tools.
• Inspect machine parts and equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot faults in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper documentation of repairs, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
• Follow SOPs, GMP, and food safety guidelines during all maintenance activities.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained as per industry standards.
• Coordinate with production and QC teams to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop and machine areas.

Skills & Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade.
• 2–7 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing industry (food industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of lathe, milling, drilling, cutting, grinding, and fabrication.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and machine components.
• Ability to identify technical issues and provide quick solutions.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and plant safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergencies as needed.
• Ability to handle physical tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Salary: Based on interview
