Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Operate and supervise machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to produce components accurately.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and achieve daily/weekly machining targets.
Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) in machining and production.
Minimize scrap, rework, and downtime through process optimization.
Coordinate with quality assurance, planning, and fabrication teams for smooth workflow.
Maintain production logs, shift reports, and machining records.
Adhere to safety protocols and promote safe working practices in the machine shop.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
Certification in CNC / VMC / machining technology will be an added advantage.

510 years of experience in machining or production operations in mechanical manufacturing / heavy engineering.
Hands-on experience in CNC, VMC, or conventional machining processes.
Prior exposure to mineral processing equipment or large-scale manufacturing preferred.
