Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the

    entire machine shop

    operations (CNC Turning, VMC).
  • Prepare and validate

    CNC & VMC programs

    for complex components using appropriate CAM software.
  • Optimize machining parameters to improve

    cycle time, tool life, and quality

    .
  • Plan and monitor daily production to meet targets with minimal downtime.
  • Conduct

    in-process inspection

    and ensure product quality as per drawings/CTQs.
  • Train and guide operators on machine setup, tool selection, and machining methods.
  • Ensure strict compliance with

    IATF 16949 requirements

    , documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain

    5S

    , machine upkeep, and ensure preventive maintenance is followed.
  • Coordinate with Quality, NPD, and Maintenance teams for smooth workflow.
  • Analyze rejections, take corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong experience in

    CNC Turning & VMC programming

    , tool selection, and machining strategy.
  • Good understanding of

    G-code/M-code

    , offsets, fixtures, and precision machining.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and understand machining tolerances.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Should be disciplined, quality-focused, and capable of handling shop floor manpower
