Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating advanced printing machines, including UV printing and 1 over 1 perfecting systems. This role involves setting up the machines, ensuring print quality, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting machine issues, and meeting production goals while adhering to safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate printing machines using UV or 1 over 1 perfecting technology for various print jobs. Ensure machine settings are optimized for high-quality prints and operational efficiency. Load and prepare printing materials, ensuring they are properly aligned for printing. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain print quality during production, ensuring color accuracy, registration, and UV ink curing. Inspect printed materials for defects, such as misprints, misalignment, or color inconsistencies. Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain consistent quality output. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance on printing machines to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to print quality or machinery. Notify the supervisor or technical team of any major malfunctions or breakdowns. Production Efficiency: Meet production targets by operating printing machines efficiently and maintaining smooth material flow. Minimize waste and ensure minimal downtime throughout the production cycle. Report production output, machine status, and any arising issues promptly. Safety & Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machines. Handle all materials, especially UV inks, according to safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Skills & Qualifications: Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in printing processes or UV technology is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator in a printing environment (experience working in rotational Shifts). Experience with UV or 1 over 1 perfecting systems is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Understanding of machine operation, print quality control, and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of UV ink systems and 1 over 1 perfecting printing technology. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
