Machine Operator

Location: Astitva Organics, Kalaamb, Himachal Pradesh

Position Overview

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical dryers and related processing machinery used for drying turmeric, ginger, and other herbal or spice products. This role requires attention to detail, understanding of drying parameters, and commitment to maintaining product quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor tray dryers, mechanical dryers, and other related machinery for turmeric, ginger, and similar products.

• Adjust temperature, airflow, and timing as per product requirements and drying schedules.

• Load and unload raw and dried material safely and efficiently.

• Ensure consistent product quality by monitoring moisture levels, color, and aroma during and after drying.

• Record drying data (batch, time, temperature, and moisture) accurately in log sheets.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure smooth operation.

• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols.

• Assist in sorting, grading, or minor processing tasks when required.

• Coordinate with the production supervisor for batch planning and process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Minimum 10th / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Food Processing preferred.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating industrial dryers or similar machinery in a food/spice/herbal processing unit.

• Technical Skills:

• Understanding of temperature and moisture control.

• Basic mechanical knowledge for small repairs or maintenance.
