Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description

Job purpose: Work on machine learning and generative AI models that power Rootle's voice and chat platforms. Who You Are: A passionate Machine Learning Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to help us build cutting-edge AI systems. Strong Python programming skills with experience in ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) Hands-on experience in NLP techniques and frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers. Understanding of model evaluation techniques and ML fundamentals. Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows Key Responsibilities: Develop and fine-tune machine learning and generative AI models (including LLMs) for NLP and conversation tasks. Design scalable training and inference pipelines using modern ML frameworks. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate models into customer-facing systems. Conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, and iterate based on feedback and metrics. Stay current with the latest research in Gen AI, NLP, and ML, and apply innovations to production. What will excite us: Experience working with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Mistral) and prompt engineering. Exposure to vector stores (FAISS, Pinecone) and embeddings. Familiarity with tools like LangChain, FastAPI, or Docker. Experience with model deployment and serving on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
