Machine Learning - OCR / Conversational AI / Reconciliations

Location: Chennai / Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to build and optimize our AI-driven Document Intelligence system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Small Language Models (SLMs), and open-source AI frameworks to extract and structure data from unstructured documents efficiently and securely

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and develop ML/NLP models for document understanding and content extraction.
Build OCR + NLP pipelines and leverage frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face.
Fine-tune transformer-based models (BERT, LayoutLM, Donut, etc.) for structured output.
Implement RAG pipelines, prompt-based extraction, and agentic AI workflows.
Collaborate with product and backend teams to deploy scalable AI services.

Skills Required:

Minimum 2 years of of working experience in Machine Learning, NLP.
Strong in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and OCR tools (PaddleOCR, etc.).
Familiarity with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma) and LLM orchestration frameworks.
Experience in model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and data preprocessing.
Bonus: Exposure to FinTech, agentic AI, or open-source AI projects

Note:

Minimum 2 years of work experience in ML mandatory.
