MAC Administrator - Silicon Labs, India

Position: MAC Administrator

Location: India

MAC Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mac Infrastructure Management:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices across the organization.
  • Administer Apple services such as Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager (ABM), and MDM solutions.
  • Ensure macOS compliance with security and company policies.
  • Manage software updates, patches, and OS upgrades for macOS devices.
  • User Support Troubleshooting:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for Mac users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist employees with macOS applications, security configurations, and system optimizations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, connectivity, and hardware failures.
  • Security Compliance:

  • Enforce security policies, including disk encryption (FileVault), endpoint protection, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments for Mac devices.
  • Integration Automation:

  • Integrate Mac systems with corporate IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, VPN, and cloud services.
  • Automate workflows using scripting (Bash, Python, or AppleScript) to enhance system management.
  • Manage enterprise applications and licenses for macOS users.
  • Collaboration Documentation:

  • Work closely with IT, security, and engineering teams to enhance Mac support and system reliability.
  • Document processes, troubleshooting guides, and best practices for Mac administration.

Required Skills Experience:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    3-5 years of experience in Mac administration and IT support.
  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in macOS, Apple hardware, and ecosystem management.
  • Experience with Jamf Pro, MDM solutions, Apple Business Manager (ABM).
  • Knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python, AppleScript) for automation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security policies, encryption, and compliance standards.
  • Experience integrating macOS devices with corporate IT infrastructure (Active Directory, VPN, etc.).
  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Jamf 300 or higher certification.
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or similar certification.
  • Experience managing Mac devices in an enterprise environment.
