M1TR MACHINE OPERATOR

The M1TR (Milling & Drilling) Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining M1TR machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and boring operations on metal and non-metal workpieces. The operator ensures precision machining as per engineering drawings and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate M1TR machines for machining operations. Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds as per job requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Machining & Quality Control: Perform milling, drilling, tapping, and boring operations on workpieces. Measure and inspect components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other measuring instruments. Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain required tolerances. Tool & Material Handling: Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures for machining. Load and unload workpieces safely onto the machine. Handle raw materials and finished products carefully to avoid damage. Maintenance & Safety Compliance: Perform routine maintenance of the M1TR machine, including lubrication and cleaning. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance issues. Follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean workspace. Process Optimization & Documentation: Suggest improvements for better productivity and quality. Maintain production records, job cards, and inspection reports. Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to resolve any machining issues. Skills & Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical certification. 1-3 years of experience in operating M1TR milling machines. Knowledge of machine tools, cutting speeds, and feeds. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using measuring instruments. Understanding of machining tolerances and surface finishes. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills. Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols. Work Environment & Conditions: Workshop environment with exposure to noise, metal dust, and machine vibrations. Requires standing for long hours and handling heavy workpieces.
