Loss Prevention Duties and Responsibilities Loss and prevention involve numerous duties and responsibilities that are crucial for preventing the company from losing money and merchandise while also ensuring a safer experience. The following are major duties and responsibilities of a Loss Prevention Associate: Monitor security systems like alarms and closed-circuit cameras. Monitor all the documents and security grooming standards. Validation of all the system transactions to find the system versus physical gaps DG and CCTV health checks and regular cold chain audit Conducting spot checks and silent hours checks Conducting sales cash and petty cash audits In stores, loss prevention protects people, money, equipment, and merchandise. They may work with undercover store detectives to prevent theft. Real-time basis exceptions need to be highlighted, and the same needs to be recorded.
