Job Description

As the Physical Flow Manager for the Kadi, Gujarat plant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire physical flow activities and reporting directly to the SCM Lead. Your responsibilities will include leading key processes such as inventory accounting, inbound & outbound logistics, from material receipt to line feeding, and dispatching finished goods to customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for resource planning of manpower and space. Your specific functional capabilities, knowledge, and skills will include: - Ensuring critical SCM KPIs such as inventory accounting, 100% customer DSA, no premium freight, and no obsolescence on SCM failure. - Managing customer interface by obtaining demand from customers, sharing it with the plant team, monitoring schedule vs dispatch daily, obtaining packaging approval from customers, and addressing discrepancies at the customer end. - Handling logistics to ensure freight expenses and packaging expenses are in line with monthly targets, managing monthly/annual contracts for transport and manpower service providers, overseeing returnable packaging management, and submitting logistic MIS. - Managing stores by overseeing end-to-end material flow within the plant, utilizing tools like ABC analysis and time study for resource optimization, conducting perpetual inventory audit compliance, cycle counts, scrap accounting & disposal, preparing annual budgets, and driving cost reduction in physical flow. - Managing indirect material (IDM) such as spares & consumables, indent, and monitoring. - Ensuring daily shopfloor management in line with safety requirements and IATF norms & customer requirements in stores. The essential qualifications & experience required for this role include a university degree in engineering or technical discipline (Mech/Auto/Prod) and 4-6 years of experience in SCM. The essential competencies for this role include expertise in stores management, strong manpower handling skills, good exposure to customer interface, and strong communication skills. Your skills should include: - Managing and applying safe systems of work - Optimizing the utilization of production plant, equipment, and materials - Ensuring the best movement and storage of production plant, equipment, and materials - Optimizing equipment and material storage - Designing, implementing, and managing inventory control systems - Optimizing the deployment and use of vehicles and movable infrastructure - Orienting work in a workflow to achieve higher efficiencies - Analyzing data trends for decision-making purposes.,
