Description
Role & responsibilities International Trade Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant import/export laws, regulations, and trade agreements. This includes staying up-to-date on changes in regulations and obtaining necessary licenses and permits. Logistics and Operations: Coordinating the movement of goods across international borders, including managing shipments, customs clearance, and documentation. Documentation: Preparing and reviewing essential documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations. Negotiation: Negotiating shipping rates, contracts, and agreements with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics providers. Supplier and Customer Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers. Financial Management: Managing costs associated with shipping, duties, and other related expenses. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with international trade, such as delays, customs issues, and political instability. Strategy and Planning: Developing and implementing import/export strategies to support business objectives, optimize operations, and maximize profitability. Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitoring and analyzing import/export data to identify trends, improve processes, and ensure compliance. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, purchasing, and logistics teams. Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the import/export process, including customs issues, shipping delays, and documentation errors.
