Localization QA Tester

As a Localization QA Tester, you will be responsible for verifying the linguistic accuracy of text, checking for typographical, grammatical, and punctuation errors. You will also ensure the consistency of translated content and use QA Automation tools such as Xbench, SDL Trados, Verifika, and ApSIC Xbench. Your role will involve maintaining approved terminology, verifying content across multiple languages, and maintaining a high level of focus throughout the project. In this role, you will be required to identify, isolate, and clearly document bugs in a test report. Following documented processes at all stages is crucial, as well as verifying that corrections have been fixed and implemented correctly. You will also be involved in proofreading files, flagging issues, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout files. Occasionally, you may provide in-house translations. Furthermore, you will attend meetings with the project team and other stakeholders regularly. Effective communication through appropriate channels is essential, and you will be expected to provide daily status reports on the project testing progress. Supporting the lead by taking ownership of side tasks like daily reporting, bug vetting, and coaching new team members is also part of the role.
