Lithography Mask Designer

Role Overview: As a Lithography Mask Designer at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting semiconductor development processes by creating, optimizing, and automating lithography mask layouts. Your focus will be on ensuring precision and efficiency in advanced manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design and generate lithography masks for semiconductor devices using industry-standard tools such as Cadence, KLayout, Calibre, with additional knowledge of DW2000 being a big plus - Collaborate with process engineers and product designers to translate device requirements into mask layouts - Develop and maintain scripts or software tools to automate mask generation, validation, and data handling - Ensure mask designs meet quality, manufacturability, and performance standards throughout the product lifecycle - Perform design rule checks (DRC), layout vs. schematic (LVS) verification, and other validation steps - Manage version control and documentation of mask data and related scripts - Support continuous improvement initiatives in mask creation workflows - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field - Experience in lithography mask design and layout tools such as KLayout, Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, with knowledge of DW2000 considered a plus - Strong programming skills in Python, TCL, SKILL, or similar languages - Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and design rules, along with experience in automation of layout generation or verification processes - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication skills In addition, as a part of Hitachi Energy, you are expected to embody the core values of safety and integrity.
