Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for administering and maintaining Linux servers (Ubuntu Pro or RHEL-based) in production and staging environments. Additionally, you will set up, configure, and secure SFTP, SAMBA, and NFS services for file sharing and data integration use cases. Your role will also involve installing, configuring, and tuning Apache Tomcat and Nginx for high-performance web and application hosting. Furthermore, you will be tasked with performing OS hardening, patch management, and automation using scripting tools or config management. Managing user accounts, permissions, firewalls, system logs, and process monitoring will be part of your daily responsibilities. Troubleshooting performance, connectivity, and service issues across infrastructure layers will also be a key aspect of your role. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu Pro) and a strong understanding of SFTP, SAMBA, NFS setups including access control and security best practices. - Hands-on experience with Tomcat (deployment, server.xml tuning, WAR file deployment) and Nginx (reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL termination). - Deep understanding of file systems, systemd, networking (iptables, netplan/network manager), and basic kernel tuning. - Experience with key AWS services including EC2 provisioning, VPC subnets, ELB configuration, IAM roles, S3 storage management, EFS setup, Route 53 DNS setup, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in automation tools such as Bash, Ansible, or Terraform, as well as exposure to monitoring and logging stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch. - Preferred qualifications include certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect - Associate.
