Linux Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and related infrastructure. Additionally, you will write scripts and automation tools for system provisioning and monitoring, troubleshoot OS-level issues and performance bottlenecks, and patch, upgrade, and harden systems for security and compliance. Furthermore, you will build and support virtualization and container environments such as KVM and Docker, as well as collaborate with DevOps, security, and cloud teams on environment design. Maintaining documentation for configurations, processes, and system changes, as well as participating in on-call rotations or incident response, will also be part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiency with Linux administration, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc. - Strong scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Perl. - Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform. - Understanding of networking protocols, DNS, and firewalls. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana. - Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience is also accepted. - Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) is often required, while Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is preferred.
