Role Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Azure cloud hosted Linux servers (installation, configuration, patch management, and security updates).
• Perform MySQL and PostgreSQL database administration (installation, configuration, backups, restores, and upgrades).
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Monitor and optimize database performance (query tuning, indexing, server performance).
• Implement security policies, manage database user roles, and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Automate routine system and database management tasks using tools like

  Ansible

  ,

  Bash

  , or

  Python

  .
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams on database solutions and CI/CD pipeline.
• Conduct regular database health checks and ensure proper indexing, partitioning, and storage management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a

  Linux System Administrator

   with deep knowledge of

  Linux distributions

   (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat).
• Strong hands-on experience with

  MySQL/PostgreSQL

   database administration, performance tuning, and replication.
• Proficiency in

  shell scripting

   and automation tools (e.g.,

  Ansible

  ,

  Bash

  ,

  Python

  ).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, SSH) and troubleshooting.
