Lighting Designer

Job Summary:

The Lighting Designer will be responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetic lighting designs that align with project requirements, architectural plans, and client expectations. The role involves conceptualization, technical design, photometric analysis, and coordination with project and sales teams to deliver effective lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop lighting design concepts, layouts, and presentations based on project briefs.
  
• Prepare detailed lighting plans, BOQs, and specifications using AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, or similar software.
  
• Perform lighting calculations and photometric analysis to ensure appropriate lux levels and energy efficiency.
  
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and clients to understand and meet project requirements.
  
• Propose suitable luminaires and technologies considering performance, cost, and aesthetics.
  
• Coordinate with the product development team for custom luminaire design or modification.
  
• Stay updated on lighting trends, standards, and innovations (LED technology, controls, sustainability).
  
• Support sales and project teams with technical lighting inputs during client presentations.
  
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, energy standards, and safety regulations.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  
• 2–5 years of experience in lighting design (architectural/commercial/industrial).
  
• Proficiency in

• Strong knowledge of lighting principles, photometry, color rendering, and energy efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with

• Knowledge of
