Work Location: HAVELLS Head office Role: Lighting Designer (HomeArt Lights)-Consumer Lighting Reports to: Category Head Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Residential Lighting Designer to design and implement innovative lighting solutions for indoor residential spaces . This role involves collaborating with interior designers, architects, contractors, and Internal sales team to create customized lighting plans that enhance functionality, mood, and aesthetics Key Responsibilities: Design and develop customized lighting concepts for residential interiors and hospitality including living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, and home offices by using various Lighting Design software Produce detailed lighting plans, layouts, and specifications using CAD or lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Dialux Evo, Sketch up , AutoCAD etc.). Select appropriate lighting fixtures, and control systems based on style, energy efficiency, and budget. Collaborate with clients and design teams to understand project goals, preferences, and constraints. Conduct site visits to assess lighting needs, evaluate existing lighting systems, and coordinate installation requirements. Stay current with trends in lighting technology, smart home integration, and energy-efficient design. Prepare project documentation, cost estimates, and schedules Collaborate with clients and design teams to understand project goals, preferences, and constraints. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in lighting design, preferably in residential settings. Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Dialux Evo AutoCAD, sketch up) Strong knowledge of lighting principles, fixture types, color temperature, and energy-efficient solutions. Strong communication and presentation abilities.
