Job Description

Process and classify LiDAR point cloud data using industry-standard software and methodologies. Develop and implement classification algorithms to accurately identify and categorize various features (e.g., vegetation, buildings, terrain). Collaborate with GIS analysts and other specialists to integrate LiDAR data into broader projects. Conduct quality control and validation of classified datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate classification results to stakeholders. Stay updated on advancements in LiDAR technology and classification techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience with LiDAR data processing and classification techniques. Proficiency in software tools for LiDAR analysis (e.g., LAStools, Terra Scan, Terra Model, Microstation and QGIS). Familiarity with machine learning techniques for point cloud classification is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
