Librarian

As a Library Librarian at our organization in Coimbatore, India, your main role will be to acquire, catalog, and organize library materials, such as books, journals, digital resources, and multimedia. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the library's collection to ensure it remains current and relevant. Additionally, you will supervise and train library staff and volunteers, as well as develop and implement library policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of library operations. Key Responsibilities: - Acquire, catalog, and organize various library materials. - Develop and maintain the library's collection to keep it up-to-date and relevant. - Supervise and train library staff and volunteers. - Develop and implement library policies and procedures for smooth operations. Qualifications: - Education: A Master's degree in Library Science (M. Li. S) or equivalent is often preferred. - Experience: Prior experience with library management systems and digital resources will be considered advantageous.
