Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Librarian for our CBSE-affiliated school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the school library, organizing and maintaining books and resources, handling book issuance, and maintaining accurate records using Excel and barcode systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and manage the school library in accordance with CBSE norms.
Generate and manage barcodes for books and library resources.
Catalogue, classify, and arrange books systematically for easy access.
Issue and receive books using a manual or digital system.
Maintain accurate inventory records and book logs in Microsoft Excel.
Ensure proper care, repair, and replacement of books and materials.
Assist students and staff in locating reading and reference materials.
Promote reading habits and manage reading programs or book clubs.
Conduct periodic audits of library resources.
Ensure a quiet, disciplined, and reader-friendly environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Library Science (B.Lib/M.Lib)
2+ yrs of experience in a library is required.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic library management software.
Knowledge of barcode generation and scanning systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Passion for reading and working with children.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
