Role Overview

Legal Manager / Legal Associate (Non-Litigation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive

  legal support

  to the organization for mortgage loan operations.
• 
  
• Conduct

  legal due diligence of properties

  proposed to be mortgaged.
• 
  
• Review and issue

  Legal Search Reports (LSR)

  and

  Title Search Reports (TSR)

  .
• 
  
• Perform

  property searches

  and prepare detailed

  search reports

  .
• 
  
• Examine and verify

  title deeds, encumbrance certificates, sale deeds, agreements, and other property documents

  .
• 
  
• Assist in the

  creation of mortgages

  including:
• 
  
• Equitable mortgage
• 
  
• Registered mortgage
• 
  
• Extension of existing mortgages
• Support internal business teams by addressing

  legal queries related to loan documentation, stamp duty, and registration

  .
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable

  property laws, mortgage regulations, and company policies

  .
• 
  
• Handle legal documentation for properties on a

  Pan-India basis

  .
• 
  
• Coordinate with external legal counsel, registration offices, and internal stakeholders as required.

Mandatory Requirements

• LLB from a reputed Law College

• 
  

• 24 years

  of experience for Legal Associate /

  4+ years

  for Legal Manager
• 
  
• Strong experience in

  Non-Litigation / Business Legal roles

• 
  
• Hands-on exposure to

  Mortgage Loans / Property Due Diligence

• 
  
• Ability to

  analyze legal documents for loan approval

• 
  

• Basic Kannada language skills (Read & Write) Mandatory

• 
  
• Strong understanding of

  property laws and mortgage documentation

Preferred Skills

• Experience in

  Affordable Home Loan / Housing Finance sector

• 
  
• Excellent

  written and verbal communication skills

• 
  
• Knowledge of

  stamp duty and registration procedures

• 
  
• Ability to work under tight timelines and handle multiple cases
• 
  
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
