Job Title: ServiceNow Architect (With SPM & ITSM Expertise) Location: India (100% Remote) Experience Level: 10+ Years About the Role We’re seeking a ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Subject Matter Expert who also brings deep experience in IT Service Management (ITSM). This is a critical role for a hands-on consultant ready to take ownership of an ongoing SPM implementation, scale it effectively, and align it with enterprise needs. Key Responsibilities Assess and scale an existing ServiceNow SPM implementation, covering modules like Demand, Project, Resource, Agile, and more. Drive seamless integration with ITSM modules and processes, ensuring end-to-end visibility and alignment. Support and maintain the platform for operational stability and long-term sustainability. Deliver enhancements, configurations, and customizations aligned with strategic business goals. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the long-term roadmap for ServiceNow SPM adoption and growth. Champion best practices, governance models, and strategic frameworks that enable effective portfolio management. Required Qualifications Expertise in ServiceNow SPM (formerly ITBM) with strong hands-on experience across its key modules. Solid understanding of ServiceNow ITSM and how it intersects with SPM functions. Experience delivering and scaling enterprise-grade ServiceNow SPM solutions. Proficiency in configuration and scripting using Glide, Flow Designer, and JavaScript. Strong consulting and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and translate needs into scalable solutions. Experience in defining and promoting strategy, governance, and adoption of the platform. Preferred Qualifications ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM and/or ITSM. Role & responsibilities Responsibilities Lead the review of technical architecture design and roadmap of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BTP, and Fiori) with a strong focus on Clean Core principles. Drive cloud adoption and ensure systems are upgrade-safe by minimizing in-core customizations. Guide and govern side-by-side extensibility using SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), CAP, RAP, and low-code/no-code tools. Collaborate with functional analysts, developers, and enterprise architects to design future-proof SAP solutions. Establish and enforce development guidelines that ensure code is compliant with SAP Clean Core strategies. Evaluate current custom developments and recommend refactoring or decommissioning approaches. Partner with SAP and third-party vendors to stay up to date on latest technologies, tools, and best practices. Implement and integrate modern DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for SAP and other enterprise applications development. Participate in planning and execution of system upgrades, cloud migrations, and decommissioning. Qualifications 8+ years of SAP technical experience, including at least 3 years in a Technical Architect role. Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and Core Data Services (CDS). Proven experience implementing and governing SAP Clean Core strategy and extensibility models. Strong understanding of SAP Fiori, OData services, and UI5 architecture. Familiarity with modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, and test automation in SAP context. Experience working with public cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus.
