Job Description

Qualification : BE in EEE (Must)

1. Role Summary

The Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical education to diploma students, preparing lesson plans, conducting practical/lab sessions, guiding student projects, and supporting overall academic and administrative functions of the department in accordance with DOTE and AICTE norms.

2. Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities

  • Deliver theory and practical classes as per the DOTE curriculum.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and lab manuals.
  • Conduct internal assessments, model exams, and evaluate student performance.
  • Guide students during industrial visits, internships, and project work.
  • Maintain proper attendance, academic records, and documentation.
  • Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Student Support & Mentoring

  • Provide academic counselling and mentoring to students.
  • Motivate students to participate in co-curricular and technical competitions.
  • Support students with remedial classes, slow-learner programs, and career guidance.

Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation work (NBA/AICTE), and DOTE inspections.
  • Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, value-added courses, and campus activities.
  • Contribute to NAAC/NBA documentation, curriculum development, and academic audits.
  • Carry out responsibilities assigned by the HOD/Principal from time to time.

Professional Development

  • Engage in continuous learning, upskilling, and attending FDPs.
  • Keep updated with advancements in the relevant engineering/technical field.
  • Participate in research, consultancy, and publication activities (where applicable).

3. Qualifications & Eligibility (as per AICTE / DOTE norms)Essential Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EEE in the relevant discipline with First Class
  • OR
  • Master’s Degree in relevant technical discipline (preferred for certain institutions).
  • For non-engineering departments:
  • MBA/MCA/M.Sc./MA with First Class (as applicable).Preferred Qualification
  • Teaching experience in Polytechnic/Engineering institutions.
  • Industry experience in related technical fields.
  • Certifications, workshops, or skill-based training related to the discipline.

4. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong subject knowledge and practical orientation.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to handle laboratories and technical equipment.
  • Proficiency in academic documentation and use of ICT-enabled teaching tools.
  • Student-centric and problem-solving mindset.
  • Commitment to discipline, teamwork, and institutional values.

5. Work Environment & Expectations

  • Willingness to work during exam schedules, special classes, and institutional events.
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives of the department.
  • Strict adherence to DOTE, AICTE, and institutional policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
