Role Overview: Illumine Industries Pvt. Ltd. (Illumine-i) is a multinational firm engineering sustainable living solutions with campuses in Austin, Chennai, and business operations in Brisbane. As the Lead/Senior Engineer for BESS & Solar PV, you will spearhead the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) division, define technical frameworks, guide project execution, and nurture a high-performing team of engineers. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in renewable energy project delivery in the Australian market. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the engineering design and delivery of utility-scale and C&I Solar and BESS projects - Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards, grid codes, and local regulatory requirements - Coordinate with internal teams, EPCs, consultants, and utilities for seamless execution - Oversee preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, protection studies, and connection documentation - Support project development, permitting, and due diligence processes - Provide technical leadership during project execution, commissioning, and handover - Stay up-to-date with evolving industry standards, AEMO/DNSP requirements, and best practices in clean energy engineering Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Solar PV + BESS engineering, preferably in Australia - Deep knowledge of Australian Standards: AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5139, AS 4777, AS 2067, etc. - Proven experience in power system design, energy storage integration, and grid connection - Familiarity with AEMO, DNSP processes, and grid application procedures - Proficient in tools like AutoCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, PVsyst, or similar - Bachelors degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering or related field - CPEng or RPEQ accreditation (or in progress) is desirable - Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills Additional Details: Illumine Industries Pvt.
