Lead/Senior Engineer BESS & Solar PV

As the Lead/Senior Engineer BESS & Solar PV at Illumine Industries Pvt. Ltd. (Illumine-i), you will be at the forefront of establishing the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) division, playing a pivotal role in shaping technical frameworks, guiding project execution, and fostering a highly skilled team of engineers. This role is tailored for professionals with a robust background in delivering renewable energy projects in the Australian market, encompassing a comprehensive understanding of local standards and grid connection frameworks. Your responsibilities will include leading the engineering design and implementation of utility-scale and C&I Solar and BESS projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, grid codes, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, EPCs, consultants, and utilities to facilitate smooth project execution. Additionally, you will supervise the preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, protection studies, and connection documentation, while supporting project development, permitting, and due diligence procedures. During project execution, commissioning, and handover, you will provide technical leadership and remain abreast of evolving industry standards, AEMO/DNSP requirements, and best practices in clean energy engineering. The role mandates a minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Solar PV + BESS engineering, with a strong grasp of Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5139, AS 4777, AS 2067, among others. Proficiency in power system design, energy storage integration, and grid connection is essential, alongside familiarity with AEMO, DNSP processes, and grid application procedures. Adeptness in tools like AutoCAD, PowerFactory, ETAP, PVsyst, or similar software is expected, coupled with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering or related discipline. CPEng or RPEQ accreditation (or in progress) is desirable, along with exceptional communication and cross-functional coordination skills. It would be advantageous to have prior experience in Australian BESS projects and a background in financial modeling of BESS ROI, LCOE, and CapEx/OpEx optimization.,
