Lead Test Engineer

We are currently seeking a candidate with at least 6 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing to join our team in Mangaluru. The ideal candidate should have a notice period of 30 days or less. The work mode for this position is hybrid. Responsibilities: - Develop and execute comprehensive UAT plans based on project specifications and user requirements. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather user requirements and develop test scenarios reflecting real-world usage. - Identify and document defects and issues found during testing, ensuring timely resolution and retesting as necessary. - Create detailed reports on test progress, results, and issues for stakeholders and project management. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development. - Enhance UAT processes by analyzing past projects and implementing best practices. - Participate in project meetings to offer insights on user experience and software usability from a testing perspective. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. - Hands-on experience in software testing, particularly in user acceptance testing. - Profound understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. - Proficiency in test management tools and automated testing frameworks. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. - Knowledge of database testing is an added advantage.
