Lead - Test Engineer (Data Engineering)

As a Lead Test Engineer at Jet2, you will play a crucial role in our Data Engineering & Analytics program by working closely with colleagues across business and technical teams. You will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of various data sources, cleansing, structuring, and transforming data to support a range of use cases from self-service analytics to data warehousing and data science. Your expertise in Cloud Data Engineering will help us efficiently deliver solutions and evolve our Data Engineering processes to align with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, monitor, and direct testing activities to deliver high-quality, well-modelled, clean, and trustworthy data assets for business use - Lead test delivery across multi-disciplinary data delivery teams encompassing on-prem, cloud, data platforms, warehouse, tableau dashboard, etc. - Assess the appropriate level of testing for each task, support planning, execution, and documentation of testing activities - Measure and improve data test practices and processes - Help develop Agile Data Testing methodologies and Automated Data Testing processes - Provide direct line management for Test Engineers, ensuring learning and development plans are in place and reviewed regularly - Lead new initiatives in test automation, focusing on maximizing reusability for regression - Build test plans, scenarios, and test data to support development projects and requirements - Develop and oversee onboarding QA Training for new hires and advance training programs for experienced resources This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Jet2's journey of becoming a leading data-driven organization through effective data utilization.,
