Job Description

Role Overview: As a Lead Software Quality Engineer at Mastercard, you will leverage your expertise to champion quality by implementing and deploying testing strategies at scale. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, while ensuring the scalability and maintainability of proactive software quality strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in requirements discussions, test planning, test data creation, and execution of testing plans in adherence with Mastercard standards and best practices. - Work with project teams to meet scheduled due dates, identify emerging issues, recommend solutions, and independently perform assigned tasks. - Design and develop test automation frameworks for system-to-system interfaces and complete software solutions, including Database/ETL, API, and UI tests. - Interact with business and development stakeholders to define test plans and schedules, translating complex system requirements into test requirements and testing methods. - Implement complex automation efforts, refactor automation code as needed, develop test scripts, and perform automated and manual exploratory testing. - Design and develop test data management, execute test plans, report results, manage defects, and escalate issues during the testing phase. - Document as per Software Development Best Practices, follow Mastercard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, and document performance test strategies and test plans. - Collect quality metric data, communicate test status and risks to stakeholders, facilitate project-level reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections. - Provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members, perform demos of new product functionality, and develop business and product knowledge over time. - Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and time-to-market, provide training and guidance on quality best practices, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a culture of quality awareness. - Act as a strong individual contributor to the implementation efforts of product solutions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. - 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Quality Engineering methodologies. - Technical skills in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Soap UI, Spring framework, REST, JSON, Eclipse, GIT, Jmeter/Blazemeter. - Excellent SQL skills for working on large and complex data sources, writing complex queries, and testing APIs, web user interface, and reports. - Experience in implementing CI/CD build pipelines with tools like Git/Bit Bucket, Jenkins, and Maven. - Familiarity with Agile/SAFe tenets and ceremonies, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems. - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for effective interaction with technical teams and stakeholders. - High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, capable of functioning under pressure, with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation. - Eagerness to experiment with new team processes, innovate on testing approaches, prior experience with Data Analysis and Data Engineering is a plus. - Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, interdependent team environment.,
