As a Lead I - Software Testing (Automation) at our client's organization, you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java, along with AWS Lambda-based automation workflows. Your role will involve end-to-end test automation for web applications, APIs, and backend workflows, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and leading quality improvements across teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java. - Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing. - Implement automated test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend workflows. - Work with AWS Lambda functions for automation workflows, validation tasks, or supporting test utilities. - Develop supporting utilities and scripts using Python to extend and optimize automation capabilities. - Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and build robust test scenarios. - Identify, log, and track defects; perform root-cause analysis and work closely with developers on resolutions. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar). **Qualifications Required:** - Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java (framework design + scripting). - Proven experience building and maintaining Automation Frameworks (functional, regression, E2E). - Practical, production experience with AWS Lambda in test automation workflows or validation tasks. - Strong Python experience for developing supporting utilities and automation scripts. - Solid experience in Automation Testing for web and backend services. - API Testing experience for REST/SOAP using tools/frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, etc. - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and common testing methodologies. The client is seeking candidates with a notice period of 0 to 15 days for this position. This job opportunity is available in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Thiruvananthapuram on a full-time permanent basis with an experience requirement of 5 to 9 years. The compensation offered ranges from INR 16,00,000 to 28,00,000 CTC. It is essential to have strong technical skills related to Automation Testing, Java, Selenium/Selenium WebDriver, and AWS Lambda. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and exposure to cloud platforms and serverless patterns would be advantageous. Familiarity with BDD/BDD tools is considered a plus.
