Job Description

What the role offers:

Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of application software, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Analyses design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
Ability to write good clean code on a day-to-day basis and actively participates in Code reviews.
Should be open to work across technologies as a full stack developer.
Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

What you need to succeed:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically,
10+
years experience
Strong experience in Java development (Java 8+), with a deep understanding of frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Java EE.
Significant hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, scaling, and deployment in production environments.
Expertise in designing and building microservices-based architectures.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a must. Knowledge of UI frameworks like Angular/React is desirable.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate etc.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
Ability to demonstrate effective teamwork both within the immediate team and across teams.
Experience working with RDBMS Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MSSQL Server with good SQL knowledge.
Strong knowledge of DevOps process and tools, continues integration and delivery.
Experience in working with version control and build tools like GitLab, GIT, Maven, and Jenkins, GitLab CI.
Expertise in implementing best practices for security, reliability, and performance in software systems.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering solutions to complex technical challenges.

Desirable Skills:

Experience working in public cloud technologies - (AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading Agile teams.
A background in software security best practices and knowledge of Kubernetes security considerations.
