Role Overview: You will be joining MetLife, the leading provider of Group Benefits, as a Lead Software Dev Engineer Tester in the Group Disability technology organization. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough testing to ensure the functionality and quality of deliverables. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that development deliverables meet functional and user experience standards. Your role will involve thought leadership, creative problem solving, and applying your expertise in a complex environment to deliver high-quality results. Key Responsibilities: - Write and edit automated test code to test the wide functionality of products and software, and write manual tests where automation is not supported. - Participate in Software Architectural Design at the ART level. - Generate and implement improvements for the automated testing framework, tools, and dashboards. - Lead the planning and documentation of complex test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs. - Lead and monitor test execution, analyze reports, troubleshoot failures, and conduct peer reviews of automation codebase. - Investigate, diagnose, and repair complex problems, testing bugs, and manage bug reports. - Understand business processes at the ART level to drive innovation and improvements in the testing process for efficiency. Qualifications Required: - BS/MS in Computer Science/Information Systems is preferred. - Minimum 7 years of experience in related work successfully delivering on large, complex projects with demonstrated technical leadership. - Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), methodologies, and quality processes. - Experience with various testing types such as functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. - Proficiency in writing clear, concise test plans and test cases. - Familiarity with Agile frameworks, regression testing, Tosca, and Azure. - Experience with DevSecOps processes/tools, AI/Co-Pilot, testing web, mobile, data-intensive, and responsive web design applications. - Experience working in cross-functional, multi-location teams, SAFe, Agile methodology, and Agile integration with Waterfall.
