Job Description

Role Overview: As the Site Reliability Engineer Lead (SRE Lead), you will be responsible for managing a team of SREs to proactively ensure the stability, resilience, and scalability of services through automation, testing, and engineering. Your role includes leveraging expertise from product teams, cloud infrastructure (specifically GCP), build and release engineering, software development, and stress/load testing to ensure services are available, cost-optimized, and aligned with Equifax architectural principles. Additionally, you will collaborate with development, architecture, and service management teams to deliver technical solutions that provide value to customers and promote a high-performance culture. Key Responsibilities: - Operations experience supporting highly scalable systems. - Operating in a 24x7 environment covering global time zones. - Designing and implementing an efficient CI/CD flow for seamless code deployment. - Managing Kubernetes clusters in production, optimizing for performance and reliability. - Building and maintaining scalable infrastructure on GCP using automation tools like Terraform. - Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in applications and infrastructure. - Implementing monitoring and logging solutions for proactive issue detection. - Participating in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents. - Collaborating with product development teams to promote reliability best practices. - Building and maintaining infrastructure as code patterns meeting security standards. - Developing CI/CD pipelines for application and cloud architecture patterns. - Building automated tooling for production change deployment. - Leading availability postmortems and implementing remediation actions. - Participating in a team for incident and problem management following an operating model. - Effectively communicating with technical peers and team members. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes). - 5+ years of experience in public cloud environments (preferably GCP). - Proficiency in system administration and automation on Linux. - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production. - Programming skills in languages like Python, Bash, Java, Go, or similar. - Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins and Git. - Solid understanding of application design principles, network infrastructure, and security basics.
