Lead Simulation

Lead Simulation is responsible for understanding product design requirements, conducting relevant mechanical simulations, and providing solutions/recommendations to improve/optimize product performance. You should stay updated with project information, collaborate with project team members and architects to ensure simulation requirements are captured proactively. Networking within the R&D team is essential to identify opportunities where Simulation can play a crucial role in achieving First Time Right solutions. You should be well-versed in the latest trends in simulation and bring an outside-in perspective to enhance simulation capabilities within HIC R&D. It is crucial to ensure that design improvement recommendations align with manufacturing constraints. **Key Responsibilities:** - Act as a Subject Matter Expert for simulation of Mobile Surgery products at HIC - Participate in design review team to identify gaps/capabilities required for functional design requirements - Provide hand calculations/simulations for digital verification of design - Delegate, coach, and verify implementation by Engineers - Provide recommendations for mutual consistency and efficient integration of separate modules - Conduct simulations to understand design consequences and communicate to the architecture - Ensure proper documentation for simulations - Keep updated on technical developments in the field and share knowledge within the team - Interpret results accurately and recommend design changes - Bring industry best practices and different product perspectives for discussion and decision-making - Gain in-depth product knowledge at component, sub-system, and system levels - Collaborate with designers to introduce simulation steps in the product development phase - Prepare design manual for Simulation tasks and release Designers guide on simulation methods and results - Take ownership of component design simulation results - Lead concept and feasibility studies to explore new technologies - Contribute to technology roadmaps and strategic activities - Drive technological or process-related improvement initiatives within the mechanical development group - Contribute to the planning process and report progress accurately **Qualifications Required:** - Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute with +7 years of experience as a Simulation Engineer - Working knowledge (10+ years) of simulation of complex products involving fabricated, machined, casting, and sheet metal parts - Experience in Structural Analysis and Fatigue Analysis - Proficiency in MBD (Multi-body dynamics) and various analysis types through simulation (Static, Dynamic, Harmonic, Thermal, Vibration, etc.) - Expertise in ANSYS, HyperMesh, pre-processing, and post-processing - Experience in AI implementation in FEA is an added advantage - Ability to work in teams and communicate effectively at different levels - Knowledge of HW/SW interfaces, reliability, and other relevant disciplines - Good command of English (written and verbal) - Analytical, creative, and improvement-oriented mindset - Ability to coach, support, and direct Engineers - Capability to introduce efficiency improvements on project level Please note: The additional details of the company mentioned in the JD have been omitted.,
