Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining and driving the QA strategy for both mobile and web applications. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of QA professionals, overseeing automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. You will be responsible for mentoring QA teams across various projects, establishing QA processes and automation strategies, and creating and implementing test plans for both web and mobile platforms (Android/iOS). Additionally, you will be required to develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and Java, ensuring comprehensive test coverage through specification reviews and backend validation using SQL. An essential aspect of your role will involve managing defects and ensuring their timely resolution, driving continuous improvements in QA processes, and facilitating tool adoption. You will also provide support to Agile teams during sprints and ceremonies. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 9-12 years of experience in QA, with a strong background in web and mobile testing. Proven leadership skills in QA strategy development and execution are crucial, along with hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and Java. Knowledge of both functional and non-functional testing, as well as proficiency in SQL for data validation, is essential. Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and Azure DevOps, coupled with excellent communication and analytical skills, will be advantageous. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, certification such as ISTQB, and exposure to performance, API, or security testing.
