Lead Product Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager, to drive the strategy, design and delivery of AI and Agentic AI models that power critical business functions across the bank.

Sitting within the AI, Innovation and Modeling (AIM) team in the COO organization, you will lead the end-to-end model lifecycle ideation, prioritization, development, evaluation and operationalization, working closely with data scientists, quants and business stakeholders.

This role will engage with cross-functional teams to build scalable, intelligent solutions that transform user experience and operational efficiency across the enterprise.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives including establishing marketing programs for new products or enhancements
• Conduct market research and market results-oriented analysis for major products and services
• Review and analyze complex major product lines and services
• Implement change delivery solutions for the portfolio's technology process work of low to moderate complexity
• Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations of global market dynamics, trends, and regulatory impact
• Oversee risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Product Leadership: experience in product management, with at least 1 year driving AI/GenAI or agentic AI products.
• Agentic AI: Good knowledge of autonomous agents, including memory, planning, and tool integration.
• GenAI Platforms: Proven hands-on experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI, and Azure OpenAI ecosystems.
• Enterprise AI Delivery: Proven success in launching and scaling AI in regulated environments.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communicator with a track record of cross-functional alignment and executive stakeholder management.
• Agile Product Development: Skilled in agile frameworks and managing the full product lifecycle, from conceptualization till implementation.
• Intelligent Interfaces: Experience with synthetic agents, voice interfaces, or automation tools.
• Technical Background: AI/ML, data science, or architecture experience; able to bridge tech and business.
• Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of financial regulations and responsible AI practices.
• Education: MS / BTech in Computer Science or related field. MBA desired.
• Platform Tools: Familiarity with Google ADK and Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Strategic Vision: Ability to align product strategy with business and AI trends.
• Execution: Skilled in risk mitigation, dependency management, and timely delivery.

Job Expectations:

• Define and own product strategy: Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Agentic Artificial Intelligence (Agentic AI) solutions.
• Lead full product lifecycle: Lead end-to-end delivery of AI-powered products, from ideation through deployment and iteration.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
• Integrate advanced AI models: Evaluate and integrate GenAI models (e.g., Large Language Models (LLMs), multimodal models) into enterprise-grade applications.
• Champion responsible AI practices: Ensure compliance with governance, security, and ethical AI standards.
• Promote innovation culture: Champion experimentation, rapid prototyping, and continuous learning.
• Contribute to enterprise planning: Act as key participant in large-scale planning.
• Influence business direction: Influence digital strategy for the business line requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Make strategic decisions: Make decisions in digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area requiring strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements.
• Lead digital teams: Lead a broad team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
• Mentor and manage projects: Potentially lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor.
• The ability to travel up to 10% of the time
