Job Description

- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code

- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

- Having structured, focused thinking, and able to keep to task lists and timelines

- Work in a fast-paced agile development environment

Skills:

Technology stack required Ruby on Rails, Redis, Javascript/Jquery, Sidekiq, MySQL, RSpec, Cucumber, TDD, Git etc

- Must have 3 to 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec.

- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools eg Git, SVN

- Good knowledge of Relational Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL

- Hands-on experience on deployment and maintenance of server (knowledge about AWS, Nginx and continuous build integration tools like TeamCity will be a great plus)

- Have a background in functional composition of web pages using Bootstrap, HTML / CSS3, Javascript / jQuery, and turning a wireframe design into a we'll-formatted, user-friendly responsive web page

- Knowledge of responsive design; testing and debugging on various platforms

- Ability to code with Javacript/ jQuery with minimal introspection

- Good knowledge of writing test cases with RSpec, Cucumber.

- A deep sense of ownership.
