Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
This Position serves as the Design Engineer Mechanical for Power Systems Engineer suited for several application (Stationary or Motion) and Industries (Telecom, Power, Storage, Electrical Vehicle), performing all aspects of Mechanical System design from Material selection (Metals, Plastics, Insulators etc.), Manufacturing Process selection, Engineering Drawings & Release, Proto Development and Several analytics such as Thermal, Structural and Vibration analysis, Component level testing etc.
- Shall be working as Design Engineer for mechanical design of low voltage power systems for critical applications such as telecom, industrial, solar, EV chargers etc.
 - Responsible for executing Mechanical Design Engineering disciplines with primary focus on the development and modification of System, Product Packaging, and Components / Hardware placement using latest technological tools (Solid edge / Solid works etc.)
 - Identification and Development of suitable mechanical parts from Partners to support Production ensuring Organization Quality policy and vendor development process.
 - Understanding of various design standards for developing indoor and outdoor product suited for various IP rating, vibration requirement, stress requirement, load bearing capabilities, and structural requirement with knowledge of applicable IS / IEC and other international standards as applicable.
 - Creation of GA, 3D and 2D on basis of electrical schematics and system interconnects based on requirements received from cross-disciplinary teams
 - Create and release 100% accurate Mechanical Drawings and BOM using ERP software (SAP)
 - Modifications in Mechanical Drawings and BOM through Engineering Change Management process
 - Costing knowledge of Mechanical components and associated Tool costing.
 - Conversant with APQP, FMEA & PPAP process and related documentation.
 - Well versed with Part life cycle management, Obsolescence Product management activities
 - Conduct and drive Design review to get buy-in from all cross functional teams for new design concepts
 - Good Project Management skills to be able to deliver on time. Be able to highlight technical risks and drive mitigation plans during project execution
 - Testing and evaluating in-house developed product and confirm compliance. (Evaluation includes software testing & hardware testing of product, mechanical stability and performance)
 - Provide accurate and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process of a power system. Oversee pilot production and generate test procedures, & other production documents for regular production
 - Analytics skills for various failure modes and its rectification plan of issues of carious complexities
 - Knowledge of preparing the part feasibility reports and part quality and creating support environment to plant and customer service quality for product life cycle enhancement.
 - To be able to convert innovative ideas into engineering solutions in form of mechanical design and creating edge in customer satisfaction.
 - High level Thermal design knowledge and Hands-on experience in Structural & Vibrational Analysis.
 - Should be well versed with Plastics and Manufacturing techniques.
 - Material testing as per recommended Standards for Tensile strength, Salt Spray, Chemical analysis etc.
 - Product testing as per recommend Standards for Noise, Fire, Safety, IP rating etc.
 - Support to Plant for knowledge transfer and timely sharing of design merits and ease of production.
 - Train the customer support personnel on new products and support them during initial installations
 - Involvement with the manufacturing partners for new tooling and fixture design to increase productivity and reduce failure PPM.
 - Support for developing Technical brochure and User manuals in coordination with support teams
 - Responsible for technical communications with customer
 
Other skill Set:
Experience of working in Mechanical design for Telecom Power solutions /UPS company as a power systems designer shall be added advantage- Good personality, self-confident, self-motivated able to work in a team.
 - Ability to break bigger complex problems into smaller and simpler jobs
 - Team worker and passionate about what he or she does
 - Good command over written and spoken English
 
Qualification/Experience
- M-Tech/ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics from a reputed Institution
 - Project Management for New Product Development in similar domain
 - Working experience of 15-18 years
 - Should have working experience in Mechanical design for Telecom Power solutions /UPS company
