Lead Marine Structural Engineer

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities: - Conducting Structure Design including Hull, Foundation, and Outfitting in compliance with standards such as IACS, DNV, API, AISC, EuroCode, etc. - Performing design calculations and preparing structural drawings. - Conducting FE Analysis using software like ANSYS, SACS, SESAM, NASTRAN, FEMAP. - Undertaking hand calculations, generating code checks, and assessing structural behaviors. - Collaborating with surveyors, third-party consultants, and providing onsite support for installation and fabrication. Your responsibilities will also include Team Management: - Enhancing team capabilities through regular training and support in recruitment processes. - Managing clients and serving as a technical lead on projects to ensure quality delivery. - Coordinating with the Central organization to prioritize workloads and allocate tasks to the local team. - Guiding graduate engineers in structural analysis. Qualifications required for this position: - BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Naval Architecture from a reputed institute. - 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. Desired profile of the candidate: - Preference for candidates with experience in shipyards or design offices of consulting engineering companies. - Proficiency in structure, outfitting, equipment layout, and strength calculation. - Fluency in English, both written and spoken. - Highly self-motivated, ambitious, and effective team player. - Ability to establish and implement best work practices within the department.
