Lead Java Application Developer

As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at our company, your role will involve participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your primary objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, test, document, and collaborate closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software within agreed project schedules. - Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, evaluate business processes, system processes, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgments. - Identify problems, analyze information, and recommend and implement solutions based on evaluative judgments. - Apply your knowledge of programming languages for design specifications. - Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. - Utilize your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code. - Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems. - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment and autonomy. - Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, conduct testing and debugging. - Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. - Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. - Monitor and control all phases of the development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation, as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users. - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. **Qualifications:** - 8-12 years of programming/development experience in Java Microservices. - Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud Platforms, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. - Strong expertise in Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. - Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication. - Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. **Education:** - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed.
