Lead Java Application Developer

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, documenting, and collaborating closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software within agreed project schedules. You will utilize your in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and industry standards. Additionally, you will identify issues, analyze information, and provide recommendations and implement solutions. As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. You will apply your knowledge of programming languages for design specifications and utilize applications development procedures and concepts. Utilizing your expertise, you will identify and define necessary system enhancements, consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems. You will have the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues. Furthermore, you will resolve issues by selecting solutions based on acquired technical experience and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and/or other team members. Your role will involve monitoring and controlling all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation. You will provide user and operational support on applications to business users and appropriately assess risks when making business decisions. To qualify for this position, you should have 8-12 years of programming/development experience in Java Microservices. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud Platforms, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is required. You should also have expertise in Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Additionally, you must demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements. The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
